Press Release: Rising Action Publishing Collective Titles Chosen for Barnes & Noble's Top Indie Favorites

CANADA, August 9, 2023 — Rising Action Publishing Collective proudly announces that two of its literary works have been handpicked for inclusion in Barnes & Noble's Top Indie Favorites list for the upcoming months of August and September. The selected titles are "The Things We Lost" by Maggie Giles and "Beverly Bonnefinche is Dead" by Kristen Seeley.

"The Things We Lost" navigates the complexities of regret, nostalgia, and the road not taken through the story of Maddie Butler. Giles' narrative delves into alternate paths and life's what-ifs, prompting readers to reflect on their personal choices.

"It's so exciting to see my debut still making the rounds over a year after publication,” says Maggie Giles. “I'm so grateful for the feature and hope this little 'what if' book finds new readers who love the story as much as I do! Thank you Rising Action for your continued belief in this story."

In "Beverly Bonnefinche is Dead," Kristen Seeley introduces Beverly's journey of personal growth and connection. The novel explores themes of identity, resilience, and human relationships, painting an emotive picture of transformation and mental health challenges. The title releases September 5, 2023.

“What an honor to see Beverly Bonnefinche is Dead among all these great books,” says Marie Still (writing under the pen name Kristen Seeley). “Even better to have made the list with Maggie. The entire Rising Action Publishing crew has worked tirelessly to bring Bev’s story to life, and I’m excited for it to hit shelves in September!”

Moving forward, Rising Action is committed to expanding their library and sharing their authors’ stories with the world.
