Press Release: Dreamscape Media acquires audio rights to debut novel The Things We Lost

CANADA, June 2022 — On March 30, 2022, leading audiobook publisher Dreamscape Media acquired audio rights to Maggie Giles' debut novel The Things We Lost in an exclusive submission from Rising Action Publishing Collective.

Attributed to Michael Olah and narrated by Angie Kane, the ten-hour audiobook is currently available for pre-order with a release date of July 7th on all audiobook streaming platforms. The book’s upcoming release creates the potential for further partnerships and audiobook deals for other titles at Rising Action.

The Things We Lost follows the journey of Maddie Butler: a troubled author looking to correct past mistakes after she wakes up in the body of her twenty-six year old self. Grappling with the unsolved murder of her best friend, the consequences of an unfulfilling marriage, and her own residual guilt, the novel dares to answer the age-old question of what if.

“This intriguing Sliding Doors-style story makes the reader think about how a single decision can change our entire future,” said Kathleen Barber, Bestselling author of Truth Be Told. “Both suspenseful and emotional, The Things We Lost will keep you turning pages right until the end.”

Maggie Giles is a Canadian author living in Collingwood Ontario. With a love for all things creative, she has been a member of the Women's Fiction Writers Association since 2014 where she works as their Social Media Director. She is currently developing her second novel, Twisted.
